HOUSTON ASSOCIATION FOR RECRUITING & STAFFING FIRMS ELECTS NEW BOARD LEADERSHIP
The Houston Area Association of Personnel Consultants Names New President, Vice President, and Treasurer to Lead the Organization
Houston, TX (April 23, 2020) – The Houston Area Association of Personnel Consultants (HAAPC), the local trade association for staffing and recruiting firms, has elected Elithia Marshi as its President, Chris Myers as Vice President, and Beth Hammond as Treasurer. All will serve a two-year term in their roles.
As the only trade association for recruiting and temporary staffing firms in Houston and the surrounding areas, the HAAPC provides educational programs, certification, and advocacy for members.
Marshi is President & CEO of MK Personnel and Hunter+Sage, two recruiting firms with more than 20 years of experience working with businesses and organizations in the greater Houston-area. Marshi has served on the Board of Directors since 2016, including terms as Special Events Chair and most recently as Vice President. “I am excited to take the helm of the HAAPC as we continue our vital work here in Houston. It is more important now than ever before to serve those in the staffing and recruiting industry, as well as the community where we all live and work. As a small business owner and as a staffing professional, I understand the value that HAAPC provides and I am honored to continue to bring that value to others in our industry,” said Marshi.
Myers is President and CEO of Professional Alternatives, an award-winning, Houston-based recruiting and staffing agency with over 20 years of experience in finance and professional staffing and recruiting. Myers has served as an At Large Board Member on the HAAPC Board of Directors since 2017.
“We have a unique opportunity to serve our industry in this time of unprecedented challenge. I look forward to working and leading the HAAPC with my fellow Board Members,” said Meyers.
Hammond is Area Vice President of Carlton Staffing/Carltech, a full-service staffing firm with over 40 years’ experience in staffing solutions in Houston, Dallas, and Fort Worth. Hammond has served on the Board of Directors since 2015, including her recent role as President of the association.
“The volunteers leading this organization bring years of experience, passion, and commitment to their craft, it is an honor to continue to serve in my role as Treasurer,” said Hammond.
